Deborah Devou has spent her entire life in Maine, growing up with a strong sense of community and service that has guided her journey. Early on, she learned the importance of responsibility and integrity from her family, who dedicated their lives to public service. Those lessons stayed with her and shaped her own career path.

Like many Mainers, Deborah began working in customer service, where she gained valuable experience in communication and problem-solving. Those skills later supported her during a long career in corrections, where she was entrusted with ensuring safety and order in challenging environments. Her time in public safety demanded quick thinking, resilience, and compassion—qualities she carried with her until her retirement.

Today, Deborah is proud to call Windham home. She sees the town as a community of balance—where small-town character meets steady growth, and where residents value both tradition and progress. As a candidate for the Town Council’s North District seat, she is committed to thoughtful growth, maintaining public safety, and ensuring town government is transparent and responsive to residents.
